Cornerstone nominations now being accepted

Nominations are now being accepted for the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce's annual Cornerstone Award, a lifelong achievement award presented to an individual, living or deceased, who has worked to improve life in Wayne County.
The recipient must be more than 40 years old, have a record of long-term, continuous service, have made a significant impact and be considered part of the foundation of the community. Contributions can be made in business, education or government.
Specific examples of service and accomplishments must be given, including any in the current year, if applicable. Include business accomplishments, community services, other memberships, achievements, awards and factors.
Past winners are not eligible.
For nomination forms and more information, contact the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce at 734-2241. Forms must be turned in by Wednesday, Dec. 8. The Cornerstone Award will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Banquet on Jan. 26.
