Police: Teen, 17, victim of hit, run

Goldsboro police have determined a teen injured early Sunday morning on U.S. 117 was the victim of a hit and run.
Around 3:40 a.m. Sunday, area law enforcement agencies were notified that a 17-year-old, later identified as Carlos Ivan Carrizales-Carrizales, was lying near the 1800 block of U.S. 117 South. He was found on the east side of the northbound lane.
Police Sgt. Chad Calloway said Carrizales was struck by a full-size GMC-type pickup truck, light in color, sometime between 2:30 and 3 a.m.

The victim, from Mount Olive, was still at Pitt Memorial Hospital as of Monday.
