Shooting

Javon Young, 28, of South Slocumb Street was airlifted Thursday to Pitt Memorial Hospital for a gun shot wound in his lower back. Goldsboro police responded to a fight-in-progress call at The Grand at Day Point apartment complex last night around 8:45. Seconds later the call was updated to a shooting. When police arrived, they found Young lying behind the 1900 building with the gunshot wound. He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to Pitt. Police Sgt. Chad Calloway said they have not made an arrest in the case yet, but do have leads.
