RALEIGH -- Grant Llewellyn will take the podium for his seventh season as music director of the North Carolina Symphony in September and tickets for those performances are on sale.

Single tickets to the North Carolina Symphony's 2010-11 season went on sale earlier this month, allowing people to pick their seats to the symphony's classical and pops performances in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Fayetteville, New Bern, Southern Pines and Wilmington, as well as featured individual concerts in Boone, Elizabeth City, Goldsboro, Jacksonville, Kinston, Lincolnton, Murfreesboro, Salisbury, Sanford, Tarboro, Wilkesboro and other communities around the state.

Highlights include guest performances by global piano superstar Lang Lang and audience favorites Pink Martini, Cirque de la Symphonie and Marvin Hamlisch.

The symphony is also entering into its first-ever collaboration with the PlayMakers Repertory Company for a new hybrid production of Sir Peter Shaffer's beloved play "Amadeus" with live music.

To order tickets for all concerts, go online to www.ncsymphony.org or www.ticketmaster.com; call 733-2750 or toll free 877-627-6724; or visit the Symphony box office at 3700 Glenwood Ave., Suite 130, in Raleigh.
