Concert planned to benefit local children's camp

A benefit concert featuring The Peter Mayer Group on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium on the campus of Johnston Community College.
Proceeds from the event will go Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children ages 7-17 who have lost a parent, sibling or primary caregiver.
Mayer is the lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffet and The Coral Reefer Band.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.jccperformingarts.com or by calling the box office afternoons from 1:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Thurs-days.
