KENANSVILLE -- Duplin County sheriff's deputies and agents with the State Bureau of Investigations left this morning for New York state to extradite a man charged in the rape of an elderly Mount Olive area woman.

They are expected to return late this afternoon with Romeo Rosinos Villatoro, 32, who has been charged with two counts each of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual assault and one count of first-degree burglary.

The break-in and rape occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 25.

Emergency personnel res-ponded and the woman was treated and released from Duplin General Hospital.

Villatoro was apprehended last Wednesday in a farming community north of Syracuse, New York where he is believed to have family and/or friends.

A migrant worker from Guatemala, Villatoro had worked on the woman's family farm.
