Miss Goldsboro to show off wardrobe

Miss Goldsboro 2010 Ashlee Perkinson will hold her wardrobe showing from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Herman Park Center and, for the first time, the public is invited.

She will be competing in the Miss North Carolina competition in Raleigh in the preliminaries from June 22 to June 24. The final night is June 26.

She is the 20-year-old daughter of Susan Rogers and Jeff Perkinson of Henderson. She graduated from the N.C. School of Science and Math in 2008 and is attending East Carolina University where is a pre-med honors student majoring in neuroscience and minoring in Spanish. With a platform focusing on Habitat for Humanity, she hopes to use her title to impact each and every individual in Goldsboro and all of Wayne County.

Also holding her wardrobe showing will be 2010 Goldsboro Outstanding Teen Amery Capps.

She will compete in Raleigh for the title of North Carolina Outstanding Teen, with preliminaries June 22-24, with the final night of competition on June 25.

She is the 17-year-old daughter of Joe and Wanda Capps and is a junior at Hobbton High School. She hopes to attend Campbell University and enter the pharmacy program.

As Goldsboro's Outstanding Teen she hopes to motivate and encourage other young people to get involved in the community.
