The Community Service Committee of the Goldsboro Rotary Club has opened a grant application period. Local non-profit organizations seeking funding are asked to complete an application form by June 8. These forms may be obtained from club President Fletcher Bizzell by calling 735-7111 or by emailing him at fbizzell@excellfash.com or from club Secretary Karen Schneider by calling her at 288-2873, e-mail: karen@ncpip.com.

The application form is also available on the club's website at www.goldsboro rotary.com.

Grants are available in the range of $250 to $500 and will be awarded through the use of criteria that can be found on the grant application. The "Four-Way Test" of Rotary will be applied to a review of all applications that meet criteria for funding -- that is, 1. Is it the truth; 2. Is it fair to all concerned; 3. Will it build good will and better friendships; and 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
