Silver Arts Follies draws full house

The Paramount presented the Wayne County Silver Arts Follies last Thursday evening to a full house.
Jill Suggs Howell was mistress of ceremonies.
Dolly Witt sang "Fever," the Song Birds sang "I Must Tell Jesus," Barbara & Ray sang "My Elusive Dream," Skip Forrester cheered the crowd with her stand-up comedy, Agatha Massey played and sang "Appointed Time," the Silver Tappers danced to "Razzel Dazzle," "Shermac Duo" and "Moon River," David Periconi hit the ivories to "Last Date," Ray Wiler sang "King of the Road," JC & Lee sang "What a Glorious Dan," Silver Steppers line danced to "I Just Wanna Make Love to You/Seduced," Bob & Oma sang to their guitars with "Just Another Hill," Maria Carter tapped her way a rousing "New York," Johnny Wallace sang "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You," Don and Pam line danced to "Zydeco Lady," Barbara Wiler sang "I Fall To Pieces," Christie McDonald presented Tigger, Bob Whitaker sang "Your Cheating Hear," the Golden Tones sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing" and Beulah Taylor closed the show with a heartfelt hymn. Grace McEvoy, last year's Best in Show, provided entertainment while the judges made their selections.
The Rev. Agatha Massey won our 2010 Silver Arts Follies Best in Show and therefore has the right to compete at State Games Friday, Oct. 1, in Raleigh.
The Senior Games arts and athletic events begin May 3 with opening ceremonies at Herman Park Center at 9 a.m.
