Wire theft at church
More than $800 worth of copper wire was stolen from Yelverton United Methodist Church on Faro Road, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported. Two atrium windows at the church also had been smashed, causing about $580 in damages, authorities said. Authorities are looking into one person of interest in the case, according to a report.
