Wayne Community College Continuing Education is offering several real estate courses for those interested or already in the career field.
The three 30-hour courses are required by the state for provisional brokers to complete within three years of licensure -- contracts and closing, broker relationships and responsibilities, and selected topics. The primary objective of these courses is to provide instruction at a level beyond that provided in prelicensing courses on topics deemed to be of special importance to licensees.
Contracts and closings will be held July 24, 25, 31 and Aug. 1. Broker relationships and responsibilities will be held April 17, 28, 24 and 25, while the selected topics class is set for June 12, 13, 19 and 20. All classes will meet from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Room 161 of the Wayne Learning Center by Jackie Leonard. Cost for each is $120.
Ms. Leonard will also teach Real estate pre-licensing and broker-in-charge annual review 2012.
Real estate pre-licensing is an introductory real estate principles and practices course with a heavy emphasis on brokerage law and practices. Class is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 13-July 1, 6-9:30 p.m., in Room 207 of the Wayne Learning Center. Cost is $175.
BICAR is the mandatory broker-in-charge course. It will be taught on March 31, 6-10 p.m. in Room 104 of the Walnut Building. Cost is $65.
Space is limited so registration in advance is advised, at the Continuing Education Division customer service desk in the Walnut Building. If there is still room, students may register at the first class session.
