Mayor King tapped to lead governor's military commission

Gov. Beverly Perdue announced earlier today that Goldsboro Mayor Al King has been tapped as the new chairman of the North Carolina Advisory Commission on Military Affairs. King was named to the post after longtime Seymour Johnson Air Force Base advocate Troy Pate Jr. announced his resignation. For more on King's appointment, follow the News-Argus and www.NewsArgus.com
