Mitchell
Arendell Parrott Academy middle school student Maryanna Mitchell of Goldsboro, an eighth-grader, is one of three APA students selected to by the American Choral Directors Association as members of the Middle School Honor Choir.
More than 5,000 middle school students from across the Southern ACDA Regional Division submitted recorded auditions. About 400 students were invited to perform at the ACDA Regional Convention in Memphis, Tennessee in March.
Hudson
Michael Hudson of Mount Olive, a senior at Southern Utah University, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester. To qualify, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.6 on 4.0 scale. His GPA was 3.77.
Cantrell
Tyler L. Cantrell of Goldsboro has been named to the dean's list at Francis Marion University for the fall semester. To earn the honor, students had to earn a grade-point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
Peele
Elizabeth Irene Peele of Pikeville, a junior, has been named to the dean's list at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
Walker
Miesha B. Walker of Goldsboro, a freshman, has been named to the dean's list at North Carolina A&T University.
James Sprunt
James Sprunt Community College has released its president's list and dean's list for the fall semester.
The president's list consists of those students who successfully completed a full-time class load and earned a grade point average of 4.0. The dean's list consists of those students who successfully completed a full-time class load and earned a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99.
