Death investigation
Police officials say they have no reason to believe any foul play was involved in the death of Ronald Hicks, 44, of South Pineview Avenue. Hicks was found dead Monday in his home during the early morning hours, according to a police report. Sgt. Chad Calloway said police had no reason to believe anything other than natural causes were involved, but added that the case was in the hands of the state Medical Examiner's office in Chapel Hill. "We're standing by for their word, and we haven't heard anything as of yet," the sergeant said.
