Woman found dead

Goldsboro police are investigating the death of a 60-year-old woman. Dorothy Martin Outlaw Fryar was found dead on Christmas Eve at her home on Alpha Court. Sakina Outlaw, 40, also of Alpha Court, told police she had been able to contact her mother for two days. The house door was locked and the car still in the parking lot. Goldsboro fire fighters used a ladder to enter the home where Mrs. Fryar was found dead in a chair. No additional information was available.

Home and car break-ins

*James C. Jarmond, 43, Vanderbilt Circle, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of an HD video camera valued at $995.

*Paulette Nicole Champion, 31, North Kornegay Street, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a $450 car stereo from her vehicle.

*Theodore Pete Hamczyk, 54, South Pineview Avenue reported to Goldsboro police the theft of 300 DVDs valued at $2,000, and iPod valued at $350 and a DVD/Blu-ray player valued at $200.

*Nora Davis Kearney, 77, Stoney Creek Church Road, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of a $4,000 Honda four-wheeler.

*According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, someone took a $120 GPS unit from the car of Benjamin Rodriguez Garcia, 33, Durham Lake Road. Damages totaled $300 to the driver's side door glass.

*According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, a $1,000 utility trailer and a $1,500 green four-wheeler were stolen from the home of Arthur Wayne Perry, 61, Pertine Road.

*Frances Nichole Cunningham, 24, Creekwood Road, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of a Wii game system valued at $199 along with 100 DVD movies valued at $500 and a DVD player valued at $29.88. Damages totaled $200 to a door frame.

*Felicia Oates Bagley, 47, Mary Lane, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies that someone broke into her home. Taken were a PlayStation 3 valued at $500 and two games valued at $90. Damages totaled $150 to a door frame.

*Wayne County Sheriff's deputies investigated a break-in at the home of Mack Linwood Talton, 53, Mount Carmel Church Road, Pikeville. Taken were a $400 laptop computer, a $29 wireless mouse and a $100 stereo. Damages totaled $300 to a door at the rear of the residence.

*Steven Roland Williams, 39, Waynewoods Drive reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies that someone pried open the back door of his home. Reported taken were an Xbox 360 valued at $250 and two games valued at $120. Damages totaled $50.

*According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, someone forced their way into the home of Tony Spencer, 53, Country Lane. Reported stolen were a 19-inch flat screen television valued at $200 and a 62-inch flat screen television valued at $2,800. Also taken was a $19 DVD player. Damages totaled $30 to door molding.

*According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, close to $2,000 worth of property was taken during a break-in at the home of Ronoda Kesion Cox, 29, Leavie Drive, Pikeville. Items and their values were: Wii game system, $250; 13-inch flat screen television, $100; 25 Wii games, $750; 25-inch flat screen television, $500; necklace, $40; PlayStations 2, $150; PSP game system, $200. Damages totaled $100 to a window.

*According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, almost $1,500 worth of property was taken during a break-in at the home of Benjamin Peyton Sullivan, 40, Artis Road, Pikeville. Items taken and their values were: 12-gauge shotgun, $80; two 20-gauge shotguns, $200; PlayStations 3, $400; PlayStation controller, $40; PlayStation game, $60; Xbox 360, $350; seven Xbox games, $350.

*Steven Pollard Adams, 40, Teal Street, LaGrange, reported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the theft of almost $4,000 in property from his home. The items taken and their values were: 27-inch television, $900; PlayStation 2, $200; Xbox 360 and controls, $200; 15 Xbox games, $675; DVD, $30; camcorder, $300; ladies' leather jacket, $250; two games, $99 each; Xbox games, $250; 30 DVD movies, $465; wallet, $20.

*According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, a stove/range and dryer, valued at $300 each were taken during a break-in at the home on Bilmore Drive. Veronica Velasquez, 35, Towering Pine Road, Stuart, Fla. was listed as the victim. Damages totaled $300 to the carpet, $75 to a window, $100 to a door and $75 to the walls.

*Harold Joseph Capstrow, no age listed, Bridgers Road, Princeton reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies, the theft of a number of items from his home. The items taken and their values were a five-gallon bucket of paint, $65; tool belt, $20; drill, $189; step ladder, $89; utility knife, $6; hammer, $22; utility blades, $12.89; screws, $115; paint rollers, $16.
