Members of the Eastern Wayne High School Marching Band perform during the Parkstown Christmas Parade on Thursday afternoon. Once billed as "the biggest little parade in the world," the event that was resurrected several years ago drew hundreds of people to the Parkstown community in eastern Wayne County. There are still several parades scheduled to be held in Wayne, including the Cherry-O'Berry parade today at 3:30 p.m., the Goldsboro Jaycees parade and the Faison parade on Saturday at 4 and 5 p.m., respectively, and the Eureka parade on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Goldsboro parade will be followed by "Jingle in the Park," a holiday festival at Herman Park that starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
