Missing
Goldsboro police are looking for a 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing. Ashley Pacheco is described as black with black hair and brown eyes, 5-feet-3 inches tall and 160 pounds. She has been missing since Tuesday and was last seen at Goldsboro High School. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Investigator Page Learnard at the Goldsboro Police Department at 580-4243.
Vehicle break-ins continue
A reported rash of vehicle break-ins continued to occur within Goldsboro's city limits, police incident reports filed Thursday show. At least four more vehicle break-ins took place on Wednesday evening and continued into in the early morning hours on Thursday, police said. Targeted vehicles were parked on North John Street, Sunburst Drive, East Walnut Street and East Ash Street, reports show. Goldsboro Police Operations Maj. Mike Hopper warned earlier this week that many of the break-ins involved valuable items left visible inside cars.
Armed robbery
A 63-year-old Ball Street man and woman were reportedly robbed in their home after a black male allegedly kicked in the door on Wednesday morning, a Goldsboro police report shows. Willie Grace, 63, and Annie Lee, 54, reported the suspect, described as about 5 feet 10 inches, with a slim build and a thin mustache, threatened them with a gun and took $34 in cash. The front door of their home suffered an estimated $200 in damages, police said. Witnesses described the suspect's weapon as a small black semi-automatic pistol. The suspect reportedly was wearing blue jeans, a red jacket, dark shoes and left in a white vehicle headed eastbound on Ball Street, according to the report. Reward offered
Dan Wise Chevrolet in LaGrange is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for recent vandalism and theft at the dealership. On Oct. 27 someone broke out a window and took the tires and custom rims from a 2010 Camaro. On Nov. 26, windows were broken out of four vehicles. Anyone with information concerning the incidcents ara asked to contact Detective Sgt. Larry Mitchell at the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 731-1541 or Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255.
