Get out those chestnuts, light the fire and let the wild rumpus begin. Winter is just calendar pages away and that means it's time for the North Carolina Symphony's delightful and much-revered Holiday Pops concert.

Making a stop at The Paramount Theatre in Goldsboro on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m., this concert is sure to make your holidays bright.

Guest soprano Rozlyn Sorrell joins forces with Resident Conductor William Henry Curry and the Symphony in a delightful program of your favorite festive music. You'll hear music to celebrate Hanukkah as well as traditional carols like "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Joy to the World," and "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen." A special treat will be the world premiere of "Karamu," a song for Kwanzaa from Holiday Songs, a larger work composed by Maestro Curry himself.

The concert features the truly entertaining Christmas sing-along, starring our fabulous audience. Media partner Our State magazine will again provide the song sheet. It will begin to look a lot more like Christmas when you hear how great you sound accompanied by the North Carolina Symphony!

So, gather your friends and family and join the crowd for the best launch your holiday season could possibly have.

Tickets are available online at www.goldsboroparamount.com or at the Paramount's ticket box office, 139 S. Center St. in downtown Goldsboro.

This year, make new memories -- at the Paramount Theatre in Goldsboro
