Jewelry stolen

Joyce Hall Tucker, 53, Davis Road, Mount Olive reported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office the theft of $2,650 in jewelry. The items and their value included a one-half carat diamond seven-stone ring, $1,000; one carat round diamond ring, $260; one carat round diamond ring with two bands, $600; gold in color necklace, $200; gold in color necklace with diamond, $190; and gold in color one carat diamond ring, $400.

Marijuana found

As the result of a tip from concerned citizens several marijuana plants were located in a lot off Friendly Road by the Goldsboro Wayne County Drug Squad, which was assisted by the Goldsboro Emergency Response Team. The marijuana plants that were located could have potentially produced several pound of the illicit drug. An investigation into the growers of the plants is continuing.

Thefts

*Nina Crawford, 38, Franklin Street, reported to the Goldsboro Police Department the theft of a $500 cell phone.

*Dominique Smith, 21, Harris Street, reported to the Goldsboro Police Department the theft of a $200 flat-screen television and $500 worth of clothing.
