Snow Hill teen dies in ATV accident

A 17-year-old Snow Hill teenager was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident on Saturday, Greene County Sheriff Lemmie Smith said this morning.
Smith said Ryan Kornegay was killed after his all-terrain vehicle was involved in an accident, but the sheriff refused to provide any other details, including where the accident occurred or how it happened.
He deferred all comment to Greene County Emergency Management Director Randy Skinner.
Skinner was not available for comment this morning.
Kornegay was a junior at Greene Central High School.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Carey Road in Kinston.
