Charges filed in May car accident

A slew of charges including death by motor vehicle have been filed in connection with a May wreck on U.S. 117 at the intersection of the Old Mount Olive Highway that left one dead and two others injured, including a 1-year-old.
Sheilena K. Brown, 24, of North Center Street, the driver of the vehicle, has been charged with death by motor vehicle.
Anita Gail Grantham, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the Lexus being driven by Ms. Brown, died in the accident.
The child, Shakayala James, was ejected from the vehicle.
The child and Ms. Brown were taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Brown also was charged with an unsafe movement, driving while license revoked, order for arrest for driving while license revoked, order for arrest for possession and display of an altered or fictitious driver's license, order for arrest for failure to stop at a stop sign/flashing red light, no insurance, child not in rear seat and order for arrest window tint.
She was placed under a $2,500 bond.
