Jamming downtown -- summer series winding down

The members of Liquid Pleasure perform Thursday evening at a concert sponsored by the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corp. The next event scheduled for downtown will be the Mighty Saints of Soul concert Sept. 17 to raise money for the Blue Ribbon Fund in honor of Air Force Capts. Mark McDowell and Thomas Gramith, who were killed when their F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet went down in Afghanistan. Admission to that event will be $2, with all proceeds going to the fund.
