The death of Seven Springs town Commissioner Rodolph Adams has triggered the reopening of the filing period for one of the two seats on the Seven Springs town board.

The filing opened this morning at 8 and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, Wayne County Board of Elections Director Vickie Reed said.

Adams and fellow Commissioner Lisa Cash had filed for another term to be decided in the November election. Since they were unopposed, it means there is now only one candidate for both seats, Ms. Reed said.

Had there been more candidates, the filing period would not have been reopened, she said.

It is a four-year term, and the election is nonpartisan.

Anyone interested in filing may do so at the Wayne County Board of Elections office in the county Adminis-trative Building at 209 S. William St.
