One of a series of statewide workshops sponsored by the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery and Investment is being held this morning at Rebuilding Broken Places CDC on North William Street.
"Linking Small and Historically Underutilized Businesses" is the theme of the workshop.
The purpose of the workshop is to allow participants to meet local service providers and get answers to any questions they might have about the state's plan for economic improvement through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Topics of discussion were to include:
*What are the economic recovery resources available and the business opportunities that come with them?
*How will the economic recovery resources be used?
*How can small and historically underutilized businesses gain access to economic recovery opportunities?
