Wayne has $1.5M in unclaimed property

State Rep. Efton Sager has announced that the state Treasurer's Department is holding approximately $1.5 million in cash and property unclaimed by Wayne County residents.
Sager, R-Wayne, explained that he has a list of those owned escheat money by the state and that his office haas been trying to reach the owners, but that not all of the contact information is correct.
"We got a printout of everybody in Wayne County, and I've located some people already," he said. "The biggest problem we're having is geting the right addresses."
