Missing Goldsboro man found
A Goldsboro man reported missing through a "Silver Alert" Tuesday night was found this morning in Carteret County, Goldsboro police said.
A statewide alert for Fred Simmons, 67, was issued after he was reported missing.
Simmons suffers from a type of dementia or other cognitive impairment, officials said.
Simmons was reported to have been driving a white 2004 Hyundai Elantra with North Carolina license plate number of LRY-4616.
The last place Simmons was reported seen was in the 100 block of South Berkeley Boulevard in Goldsboro.
