Man shot in leg
Tyron Jones of West Pine Street suffered a gunshot wound to the upper left leg early Thursday morning in the 300 block of West Grantham Street, police said. Jones said that a person unknown to him drive by and shot at him multiple times. Jones refused to answer further questions about being shot, police reported.
Juvenile breaks electronic monitoring device
Investigator Paige Learnard of the Goldsboro Police Department reported a 13-year-old South Slocumb Street resident destroyed the electronic monitoring device assigned to him by the court. The units cost about $900. The boy stood to be prosecuted criminally by Juvenile Services, Ms. Learnard said.
