Four cheers: Quadruple honors for downtown suggest even more success ahead

Four -- count them -- four Main Street awards for the City of Goldsboro.

How about them apples.

The city's investments in the beautification and renovation of downtown spaces are paying dividends in both recognition and accolades. Hopefully soon that will translate to an economic shift that spreads beyond downtown as well, but hey, it's a start.

The Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation, city leaders, investors and residents should all feel proud of the efforts poured into the many projects -- past and presently ongoing -- that have resulted in this measurable success.

Here's to those who've contributed so far and to the future endeavors that will keep the momentum going.
