Fore! If Dems don't get their game together, 2020 will hit before they know it

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been making the rounds on the talk show circuit to promote her new book detailing her thoughts on why she lost the presidency.

In it she says that the more successful a woman becomes, the less likable she is to others. And while that may or may not be a universal truth, we don't claim to know.

What we do know is that she also takes shots at both President Donald Trump and her rival for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Sanders for his part said he thought it was time to look forward and not back, but refuted the notion asserted by Mrs. Clinton that he did not support her after he lost to her in the primaries to the same degree that she supported President Obama after she lost the nomination to him in 2008.

Trump, on the other hand, took to Twitter. The president retweeted a gif of Mrs. Clinton falling on a set of airplane stairs. The video had been doctored to look as though he'd tee'd off on the golf course and the ball somehow found its way to her, knocking her off balance.

Say what you will about the "Twitterer-in-Chief," but that one at least had a sense of humor to it.

Whether or not HRC supporters found the Tweet comical, who knows, but Senate Democrats were quick to chastise the act.

The question Democrats have to consider is -- as we have asked before -- if not Hillary, who? Ol' Bernie -- Sanders -- isn't finding a ton of backing for his renewed push for universal health care.

So either someone new will have to emerge or it is going to be a long stretch before we see the red-hatted one pack up his clubs and shuffle off the green.
