Good report: Hiring is up and a good sign of continued economic recovery

In a good sign for the United States economy, employers last month hired more people than they have in four months. Companies don't hire unless they are doing well and are setting higher expectations for themselves, so the numbers bode well for the rest of 2017.

We give President Donald Trump some credit for the recent growth.

The Republican Party's policies are pro-business and aimed at boosting the overall economic outlook for the country. Not everyone likes Trump, but his presence in the White House seems to be generating a certain amount of confidence in the business world, and it would seem that it is helping keep the long-running economic recovery going.

There has been worry that the economic recovery has run its course. It is now nearly a decade since the U.S. economy tanked and sent shock waves through the financial world. It took time, but the country weathered the downtown, and the economy has chugged along fairly steadily ever since.

We believe the policies put forth by the Republican Party have helped keep that recovery going and will extend the already-extended rally even further.

And whatever else you might think of Trump, he has the right ideas when it comes to business.
