Careful travel: Take extra care when traveling streets on Halloween

It only takes a moment for a bit of fun to turn into tragedy -- so it is no wonder that law enforcement officials are warning local residents to be careful tomorrow night.

Lots of costumed ghosts and goblins will be darting around city streets this weekend in their search for Halloween candy. And like it or not, safety will not be the first thing on their minds.

So it is up to the drivers -- those who will be traveling around the city on Halloween night -- to make sure that they are looking out for the little ones.

Slow down. Put your phone away. And make sure that you are looking carefully before you are crossing intersections.

And parents, keep a tight hand on your little munchkins, too.
