Preparation: Workforce development key to the county's future

Competition is fierce in the world of attracting new business investment.

The bottom line is that sometimes having a great site, a nice incentive package and a great economic development team is not enough.

You have to be able to offer a potential corporate investor not only the infrastructure it needs, but the possibility of being able to fill the jobs it will create.

And that is where workforce development steps in.

By preparing a ready, willing and qualified workforce, this county is letting potential companies know that it is open for business and that it is serious about attracting new investors.

And it gives us an edge in a market where there are many, many areas vying for a very small pool.
