Today it starts: Have your say, beginning today; or forever hold your peace

It is finally here -- the first day of early voting in North Carolina.

And, hopefully, it will be the first day of a large number of people heading to the polls to make their choices for their next round of leaders.

And even if you don't make it by the end of the early voting period, which is Nov. 1, there will still be time to cast your ballot on Nov. 4.

And just in case you aren't one of those people who has already made up his or her mind, take a few extra days.

This is an important decision, much too important to rush if you are not sure.

The important thing is to make sure you cast that ballot and make your voice count.

Too many times, we complain and do nothing.

This is your chance to do something. Take it.
