Building boom: City's news of new businesses sign of good things to come

There might still be a few things to work on when it comes to Goldsboro's elected officials and their plans for the city's future, but there is no question -- the city is experiencing a boom.

New businesses, new restaurants and a lot of activity in and around the area suggest there are some good times ahead.

And that is good news for anyone who owns property or who is raising a family in the city or in its environs.

Economic development is an important part of a profitable future for Goldsboro -- as are continued efforts to revitalize its downtown.

Good planning, wise spending and smart decisions are critical -- especially now that the city seems to be piquing the interest of investors.

All we have to do now is try not to pay attention to the doomsayers and to stay focused on what will keep the city on the right track.
