Scapegoat, check: Chief's departure sets up a whole new blame game

She is gone -- finally.

There are many who wonder why it took Kathleen Sebelius so long to depart after the botched launch of Obamacare.

It is really not all that hard to figure out.

If she had left, fixing the system, and the inevitable other problems that arose, would have been focused squarely on the president.

After all, the system bears his name.

Now, Sebelius gets the attention and the blame for a disastrous rollout that was not entirely her fault. The problem was in the system itself, not just the computer programs.

So now that she has resigned, the Health and Humane Services secretary is getting the blame from the boss who supported her weeks ago.

This resignation is meant to deflect attention from those who created and voted for the law.

We just need to make sure the accountability begins and ends where it is supposed to and not fall for the bait.

Then we can decide just what we want to see happen with Obamacare.
