Red flags fly: If they can't handle a website, do you want them in health care?

Now, after name-calling, horrified commentary from Democrats and calls that those who suggested a delay for the implementation of the individual mandate of Obamacare were fascists, there is at long last ... a delay.

It is a no-brainer, really. If you can't sign up on the website, and no one seems to have a definitive idea of when you will be able to sign up, there is no way a penalty can be assessed.

But stay tuned on that one. Who knows, after all, this is government.

But as we continue to listen to all the excuses and buck passing from the administration, the continued show of incompetency brings up another, equally important question.

Do you really want these bumbling bureaucrats to be in charge of your health care?

Think about it.

The website construction is coming close to $700 million -- and by the time all the fixes are in place, if they ever are, the amount might be significantly more.

You don't think any of these contractors called in to fix the problem or any of the government employees tapped to work on the resolution are doing so for free, do you?

The bottom line is simple: Government messes up everything it touches because there is no competition or true oversight to keep it honest.

And if you have any doubt about that truism, take a look at Social Security, disability and food stamps.

We can't afford another one of those.
