It's time: There is still time to be part of United Way's Giving Tuesday

OK, you have chased the bargains in person and online and put away the Thanksgiving turkey platter for one more year.

Now it is time to share a little with your neighbors in need.

Giving Tuesday is a day designated to encourage Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoppers to take a little time to give back after enjoying a weekend of holiday shopping.

The idea is to pick up a little gift of some sort -- or a large one if you can afford it -- to help a local charitable organization.

And there are plenty who need your help.

The organizations need everything from office supplies to diapers and educational materials. And they say any donation of any size would be welcome and appreciated.

The lists are available right now on the News-Argus Facebook page, and on the United Way's website, www.unitedwayne.org.

All you have to do is pick a list.

The gifts do not have to be large -- it is really the thought that counts. And there are volunteer opportunities, too, for those with tight budgets.

So give a little today. It is a great way to start off another wonderful holiday season.
