Faith-full: Isaiah Henderson inspires others to keep up the fight

He has always been a tough cookie. So, it should be no surprise that Isaiah Henderson, the former children's co-chairman for the Relay for Life, is moving forward as he battles cancer.

He has not had an easy time of it, facing a couple recent setbacks. But this young man is a fighter and living his life like we all should -- with courage and dignity.

There has been a lot of support for Isaiah at his school -- and the church community is joining with his family in prayer, too -- but it is the young man's determination and faith that are so surprising and inspiring.

Many of us face challenges every day that do not even come close to the level of those Isaiah battles. We complain. We moan. We feel sorry for ourselves.

Not Isaiah. Perhaps we could all learn a little from a young man who faces his future with courage while never losing faith.

He truly is a hero.
