Media watch: Claims might seem odd, but judge for yourself

More than a few people are saying that perhaps there might be just a bit of bias when it comes to the coverage -- and the questions -- posed to the candidates for president of the United States.

They say the media are taking, and have taken, a hands-off or cupcake approach to the president while vilifying his opponent any chance they get.

Sounds like sour grapes, doesn't it? Perhaps.

But there are more than a few media watchdogs who think there is some merit to the argument, that there is a different vibe when the president is questioned and a bias when there are coverage decisions made.

You can't take a step these days without someone telling you which foot you should lift first, so it comes as no surprise that there are plenty of opinions on this one.

So, judge for yourself. Watch the questions, pay attention to the exposure and the commentary.

Then, do what we all should be doing anyway, choose your candidate yourself, based on your criteria for a good president.

That's how you don't end up with buyer's remorse.
