Input needed: Public health survey might actually make things better

Public initiatives that ask opinions from community members do not often have any real impact -- mostly because the people who really need to be asked never even see the survey.

But the public health survey being conducted around the county right now is giving county residents plenty of chance to have their say -- and to possibly effect change in their community.

But to make it meaningful, someone without an agenda has to give honest answers about life around here and what resources this community really needs to be healthier.

So take a few minutes and attend one of the many focus groups scheduled around the county or pop online and fill out a survey.

You never know, something you suggest or evaluate could be implemented or get a second look because you were one of many who felt there was reason to be concerned.

Making Wayne County a healthier place should be important to anyone who lives here. Now is your chance to be a part of making it happen.
