Fair push: If you have not been yet, come support your fair

There are only a few more days left before the pigs, cows and horses head back to barn and the ribbons are put away for another year.

And if you want to get a funnel cake, the clock is ticking.

The Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair officially ends this Saturday night. And if you have not been there yet, you need to plan an evening of fun and tradition for your family.

In addition to the carnival rides and other attractions that make any fair fun, there are plenty of chances to celebrate the agricultural roots that have helped build this community.

City kids will even get a chance to see a real live cow, pig, chicken or horse up close, and there are plenty of other displays worth looking at in the exhibition hall -- everything from flowers and art to pies, cookies, cakes and canned items.

There are not that many places left where a family can take a little bit of money and enjoy an evening together.

The Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair is one of them.

So put on your jeans and grab your children and head on out to the fairgrounds.

You will have yourself a really good time -- and you will be supporting a group of volunteers that has worked hundreds of hours to make sure you can ride rides, eat hot dogs and share memories to your heart's content.
