Ask questions? Hillary Clinton wants to know what you are thinking ... tell her

You have seen the commercial. Hillary Clinton, alone on the screen, a look of caring and concern on her face.

She tells viewers that she wants to know what they are concerned about and that the election is “not about me.”

OK, that might be sincere. After all, in the long run, it really isn’t about her. It is about whom the voters choose to lead them for the next four years.

So, instead of tsk, tsking and starting another “No More Clintons” chant, let’s ask her about her stand on some of the issues we care about. And while we are at it, let’s ask her about her husband, his influence and why we should trust either one of them.

Like it or not, the reason some people won’t be picking a Clinton this year is because there is too much water under that bridge. This will be her chance to tell us why the past doesn’t matter.

She asked, so it is our duty to comply.

Come up with some tough questions — not tainted with sarcasm — but with real concerns that you are weighing as you try to decide for whom you will cast your vote.

And then e-mail Mrs. Clinton.

It will be interesting to see which questions she chooses to answer and which she lets die on the vine.

If you do not see your question among the chosen, consider this — an expression of concern and caring that is merely a ploy to suggest care and concern is nothing but a stunt. And it says a whole lot about a potential leader.

We will see on which side she comes down.
