FRANCES LANCASTER WADE

Frances Lancaster Wade, 90, Goldsboro, passed away at home Tuesday, July 17, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Funeral will be Friday evening, July 20, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends afterwards.
Graveside service will be Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park, Dudley.
Mrs. Wade was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Wayne County to the late Lemley and Carrie Smith Lancaster.
She loved and collected more than 4,000 dolls, and spent every free minute enjoying the beach.
She is survived by two daughters, Edi Wade of Oak Island, N.C., and Connie Dail and husband, Gene, of Pikeville; three grandchildren, Kip Brown and wife, Beverly, Chris Brown and April Barnes and husband, Joe; six great-grandchildren, Geordi Brown and fianceé, Carol, Charlie Carmichael and wife, Whitney, Abi Brown, Nick Bowden, Chelsey Drake and Brendan Barnes; and five great-great-grandchildren, Paisley, Aubrey, Nate, Melody and Little Kip.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wade, and her brother, Harold Lancaster.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
