Ms. Dorothy Louise Brunson Jones, 86, Goldsboro, passed Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab Center of Goldsboro.
The celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2 p.m. in J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., with elder Dr. Robert D. Hood officiating. She will be laid to rest at Hooks Grove Church Cemetery, 290 Hooks Grove Church Road, Pikeville, N.C.
There will be a viewing held Friday, April 27, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, Goldsboro, N.C.
She was born March 9, 1932, in Johnston County, N.C., to James and Elizabeth Atkinson Brunson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dorothy Washington of Sierra Vita, Ariz., and Deborah (Thomas Sr.) Uzzell of Goldsboro, N.C.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services of compassionate and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations of Goldsboro.
