Ethel Oates Carmichael, 76, 2194 Thunderswamp Road, Mount Olive, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Tuesday at noon at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael McDougald officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late John Richard and Elizabeth Henderson Oates.
Four children survive.
Visitation, with the family present, will be Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
