MARY ELEANOR JONES MARTIN

Mary Martin, 75, Raleigh, N.C., passed away Feb. 28, 2018, at Universal Health Care in Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
She was born in Cumberland County June 17, 1942, to Charles Samuel and Marjorie Eleanor Jones.
She graduated from Fayetteville High School.
Mary was married to Larry Ambert Martin for 54 years. They moved to Wake County in 1969, and in the mid-70s, Mary and Larry both worked for Standard Spray Systems, and later acquired ownership of the company.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband and caregiver, Larry, and son, Larry Steven Martin of the home.
She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Hugh Martin.
She was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church.
Mary was an avid sports fan, loving the Wolfpack and NASCAR, and was a loyal supporter of her son in his many horse competitions.
She was a positive influence on everyone who had a conversation with her.
A memorial service will be held at Swift Creek Baptist Church Friday, March 2, 2018, at 11 a.m.
There will be a visitation preceding the service at 10 a.m.
Interment will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Martin-Price Cemetery, N.C. 55, Mount Olive, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swift Creek Baptist Church, 9300 Penny Road, Raleigh, N.C., 27606, or Thunder Swamp Pentecostal Church, 1519 Thunder Swamp Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
