James William Smith, 92, 804 N. Virginia St., died Monday at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
He was born in Lenoir County Oct. 18, 1925.
Arrangements are by J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremation.
