RON DAVIS

Ronald Odell Davis, 64, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
Ron was born in Jacksonville, N.C., Dec. 9, 1952, to the late Kenneth Earl and Geraldine Hill Davis.
He was a 1971 graduate of Goldsboro High School, and attended the College of Sequoias in Visalia, Calif., Wayne Community College in Goldsboro and West Virginia University in Morganton, W.Va.
Ron served his country in the United States Army, and later worked with Carolina Electric and Gas Co., Piedmont Natural Gas Corp. and Classical City Mechanical Inc.
When his younger brother became disabled, Ron came home to Goldsboro. For more than 30 years, he was a devoted caregiver, providing exemplary dedicated in-home care, which the professionals always remarked on.
Later in life, Ron was an avid golfer.
A private graveside service will be held in Wayne Memorial Park.
Ron is survived by his brother, Kenneth Davis and wife, Karen, of California; sister, Jean Davis and husband, Donald Mead, of Missouri; and his nephew, Liam Davis-Mead of Colorado.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Alan Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Disabled American Veterans, 112 N. Patrick St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
