Minnie L. Warren Bell was born to Kirby and Sarah Lofton Lewis Sept. 9, 1929.
God called her name, and she quietly slipped away Oct. 15, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Bell was a retired Wayne County Public School System educator for 31 years. She was an education pioneer, and taught many, many students, who always remembered her.
Her celebration of life will begin Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, with a viewing at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, LaGrange, N.C., from 6:30 to 8:30.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association Building, 1800 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, N.C. The officiant will be Dr. Wilbert Johnson and eulogist Dr. Harold O. Warren.
Minnie was survived by two sons, two daughters, two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at her home at 3505 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
Services of compassionate and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
