Dorothy Deaver Tillman, 78, passed away Saturday at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
She was the daughter of the late Aaron and Eula Mae Deaver, and was the widow of Robert Lee Tillman. Mrs. Tillman worked for Excell Linde as a machine operator, but is known better for her work at the Tastee Shop.
A funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m. at Walker Memorial United Methodist Church, with Pastor Sherman Guthery officiating. Family members will greet friends Monday, following the service. Committal services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Ina Gail Smith of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Christopher Ray Smith and wife, Julie Stanley Smith, Timothy Ryan Smith and significant other, Sabrina Gayle Rule, Kimberly Bradfield and husband, Eric Bradfield, and Michael Tillman; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Smith, Daniel Bradfield, Breanna Bradfield, and Brian Bradfield; a sister, Dean Kennedy of Seven Springs; and a brother, Jimmy Carlton Deaver and wife, LaVonne, of Suffolk, Va.
